That's a tie-cord. He has it so I could get this picture taken. He was just taken out of a breed pen. However, ultimately he'll be put back on a tie-cord. It's either that or he would find another loose cock (all are on tie-cords) and fight till either he or everybody else was dead: that is his nature toward other cocks.

These birds are very human friendly. Never seen a mean one yet. They love to be petted and are extremely affectionate toward their handlers; it's other cocks they don't like! If you ever see Asil at Shows you will notice there is a cover of some kind between the cages: that is to keep the peace. They are what they are.

I wish he was a Madras, Walt. Not big enough. Should cock out at about 6 or 7 lbs. I'll see if I can dig up a picture of his sire.
