You have white Rocks, too, AL? You like those white chickens, huh?
A while back someone was posting looking for white Rocks. I assume they must be rather difficult to locate, or it seemed to be the case at the time of the posting.
So, what else you got there, AL? Got more pictures to share with us?
LOL yeah IMO there is only one color and it is white LOl hehehehe. I have been raising White Rocks, Standard Cornish, for many years and have just in the last couple of years got into Dark & WLR Cornish. I also have a very ambitous meat bird project that involves these breeds, I am making very good progress with great results and hope to make a totally new breed of truely Sustainable meat birds, that will continue to produce consistancy year after year. Lofty as it may seem I have plenty of time to work with.
So if you want a few pic's and don't mind the white I would be happy to see what I have.
AL
A Dark Cornish Pullet almost at POL
One of my White Cornish pen's, they are young and still coming along, I cockrel & 3 Pullets.

Walt : That is an F3 hen and she should throw all alike birds this year, I hope. I have them on a strict managed diet to ensure I can keep them at a more healthy level for continued success.

You can see because of her width of leg she can carry a lot of meat. Thats one big girl it reminds me of breeding dairy cattle a bit. You look at "dairy character" and width and that will tell you how much milk the cow can make. This bird certainly has "meat character"
Thanks................ It is just a part of the bldg I have other areas that also stay full. I have equipment and feed storage areas, brooder pen's, brooders, and project bird breeder pen's, and juvi pen's.

She is sure wide, but her legs are still holding her up.
do you know what she weighs?
Walt
She is at 13 lbs now as is her siblings, the roosters are bigger and lankier, I bred the wide stance for balance, she waddles a bit, but is vigorous and lively. I don't have roost in their pen for abvious reasons LOL, she's no jumper.
