I don't know if this seems silly, but if you look at his neck and head, it looks almost as if he has some Asian blood in him.
He is from the Good Shepherd line. I think he looks a little long in the neck because he is young and has not finished filling in yet. He is almost 6 months old.

You have to make a foundation before you build a house.

Don't worry they will fill out.

No worries here....I really like my birds. I'm just asking questions to learn more about them. The ones I got from you are coming along really nice. Not as big as these guys but not as old either.

Here is a male I got a picture from about three or four years ago. Jamie Duckworth blood line. He was about six months old when picture was taken. This line was a here today gone tomorrow line for this beginner. He got to many breeds went to fast and burn out as most of them do. These birds are all dead, but I liked his tail and he did mature to a very nice birds when he was a year old.

I have seen some of the Duckworth males in pictures a few months ago and they all had nice tails. Does anyone on this board have Duckworth Barred Rocks?

Bob, you are always quizing us........I'll see how old you are. Do you remember shipping birds by Railway Express?
That is how Sturgeon shipped the Rocks to me. Same thing happened to me with our WLR Cornish. We thought we had a guy who would be in it for the long haul but he couldn't take the setbacks and the birds went to pot.

I got some birds from Jaime in 2010. I don't have any of the originals, but have some 2011 hatch and this years. They aren't as nice as the males he had pictures of on one of the other boards, but I like them. Similar to Bob's comment on having too many birds, the feather condition on them isn't the greatest since they run together and feathers do get pulled. These three are march/april hatch, february hatch, and 2011 hatch
