mine r a little smaller than that and they r bout same age maybe i should cull em and start over they r the stukel line . I havewhite rocks from Bob blosls they r nice birds

I wouldn't!!! No way. I'd raise out the birds and withhold judgement. For sure, these old line birds need lots of feed and a slightly higher protein level, I feel. I feed two-thirds 24% gamebird and one third 12% mixed grain blend that is of high quality, for an average protein of around 19%. They've done exceptionally well it. They are also terrific foragers, so it's hard to figure what they get from that.

I'd be very, very, very patient with your BRs. They just, flat out, take time. Also, photos are deceptive as to figuring what "size" a bird is.

Finally, I MUST see some of your photos of Blosi's White Rocks!!!! I was far too late in asking Bob about some this past spring.

what ll do u raise.

A picture of the best bird Bob has was already posted here. I posted his picture before I sent him to Bob. :-]

I would also love to see some of Bob's birds! Please share photos!
I will post some pictures latter when I get into the other computer. I just got a order for two dozen eggs yesterday but I dont think I can supply him with eggs. If I hatch them myself I should hatch at least 15 chicks and if I ship them well maybe 6 chicks. I got orders right now for 40 chicks for next spring and I only have three females on my place but can go and get two more if I need to as I farmed them out this past month.

This strain I have had for 28 years and Oliver Bowen had them for at least 20. They came from Harold Halbach and have never been introduced with outside strain blood. In my period I introduced three shots of fresh blood from two different sources.

Oliver introduced Shelby Harrington blood to his Bob.

Glad he did I dont know what level of his birds had Shelby's blood in them. I saw some of Shelby birds 25 years ago and these birds did not look like them. Any way I have had them almost 30 years and only long back ,deep keeled birds up on their leg where ever used by me. They are tight feathered not fluffy and I am glad they are as there are people who are interested in my hackle and saddle feathers of my males for Tie Flying. My bantam hackles make good tails for flys for Salt Water Flys and the hackles of the large birds make great hackles for the salt water fly Whistler and Seducer.
