Now don't put these into your Orps.....lol

I didn't miss that you are breeding your tanks down in weight......good girl!

Not intentionally, since being a VMI and West Point grad's "Bird Colonel", daughter , I know that big tanks nearly always beat out smaller ones. If, by chance, my summer hatch birds are a tad less in avoir du pois, so be it. If they get their buts whooped by some of your less enlightened brethren judges for being too small, you'd better hide Walt !

As for adding Rock........ I've been trying my @#*%@# to stomp it out of my Orps., and you know it !

I have been considering LF Cornish in the spring. Any recs on color or who can send or provide started chicks? I am in central tx.

THANKS to everyone for your enthusiasm toward the Buff Rock chicks.

I don't think Mr. Roebuck follows this thread or even on BYC much if at all...but I really appreciate his generosity in sharing some of his stock via eggs with me.

I just received my APA 2013 Yearbook...lots of SOP breeders' Ads, some nice photos representing SOP birds and many good articles!!! One of which Tom Roebuck wrote...I must say it was thrilling (at least to this 'amateur') to see the name of the breeder whose chicks I hatched in June in APA book as an article contributor!

I really enjoy my breed club publications etc, the Poultry Press and the APA yearbooks...great info. and great way to stay 'dialed in' especially if you do not or cannot attend shows/meets.

Walt raises stunning Cornish.

I have no doubt! :) Ok, maybe not Cornish for a breeding project, but I must own a couple just because they are awesome looking birds. They can be hangers on in my layer flock

.

Which breeds do you recommend to a beginner? I have room for one more breed in addition to my New Hamps.

Good Morning,

My Heritage New Hampshire babies are 3 wks. old today, and wanted to share some photos of these lovely additions into our small menagerie. I love heritage breeds, and am hoping to be able to do my small share of saving the numbers of some of these wonderful animals who are being forgotten amongst the new fashion designer breeds. I love the old/heritage breeds and deeply appreciate their virtues.

Dear Walt, thank you very, very much for these gorgeous birds who add joy, and wonder into my life. Also, thank you very much for patiently answering my questions, and for all your help.

Lual
