I have a young pair of black breasted red Cubalaya...and I love them. Very beautiful birds.

Will you be showing them this next year? I must agree, they're very gorgeous birds!

Yes, will you be showing them?

I have a couple Cubalaya hens that will likely be making a showroom appearance, but the males are just very challenging. Seems like when they finally molt in that last main tail feather they start dropping some others and the whole process kicks in again. I'm still looking for that special diet that will get those tails molted in and SET.

I have one or two large Black Old English Game hens that may give the Sumatras and Frizzles a run. I should try to find an opportunity in 2011 to run them up against one of those Bill Wulff Pyle Moderns! The black queens deserve at least AOSB - seriously!

But mostly the show string will be featuring a wide assortment of Mediterraneans - Bluebonnet Classic will see the a selection of the first string Black Minorcas, RC Anconas, Dark, Buff and White Leghorns and maybe even Spanish Jack the Black Spanish cock will make the trip south. Large fowl - we like 'em!

No doubt about it, Sam has the best Cubalaya in the country. Although, I will say Sam that Anthony Rose is going to be giving you a run for your money!

Please, enlighten us all, won't you? I think more people are interested, but they can not FIND the old rare lines of the heritage breeds."

I am interested and so glad you started this thread. I don't even know where to begin to look for these.
