I find that my Delawares are the friendliest of all my breeds. When I enter their pen they are all over me rubbing up againt me while I feed & collect their eggs. The rooster is very mellow & stands back & watches his girls crawl all over my feet. I often times have to scoot someone off the nest to get the eggs & have never been pecked by any of them. They are great winter layers too. When no one else at all were laying ( Except my Harlequin ducks.............they lay everydayrain or shine) the Delawares just kept pumping them out. They have been a delight ever since I bought them from Lotsapaints on here.

My buckeyes are friendlier than my Delawares but i agree 100% with the above statement...
Well I did it. Got to go into my computer and look for some old pictures of Waterfowl. If you have any old pictures please post them or post your pictures of your ducks or geese.
Hopefully we wont get any feed store pictured birds. But it might happen. I saw four geese on a pond yesterday. Two Emdens and two Tolouse classic production birds. They looked nice but not true to breed.
Heard on the phone a few miniutes ago a breeder up north lost some of his birds to the cold the heater broke down and the froze to death. I think games bantams.
This is also the time a year that fires get started up north and you can loose all your birds. This happen to Dr. Patterson many years ago with his Wyandotte Bantams.
Is there anyone who has Jersey Giants worth a hoot any more.
Remember Goldey from Kansas the Queen of Jersey Giants. Does her blood line run any where in the USA ?
Well got to get ready to go to work. Last night then two days off and I can enjoy retirement for two days.
