Yep, took best of breed in Japanese Bantam, Barred Holland, Buckeye, Buckeye Bantam, Australorp, barred Rock.....

It easy to do when you're the only one exhibiting them.

Congrats Jen! You may have been the only one but you were there exhibiting and that's what going to get people interested. Keep up the great work!

That... sucks. For lack of a better word! I hope someone is able to take them and keep you updated on your ladies, I know they're going to have some beautiful babies for one lucky buyer! I unfortunately don't have the time (or money, coops, lol etc etc etc) to take on another breed at this point. I wonder if you could even just keep the hens and find someone nearby that could keep the roo and have little love visits every other week or so?

I know the feeling! White Houdan Bantam, Mottled Houdan Bantam, Crevecoeur (LF) and bantam Spangled Orloff are always the same way!

Hi I'm new to this forum and new to heritage breeding, I am interested in a small heritage collection of Delawares and Dominique. Just wondering if going to a sanctioned chicken show is a good place to look for heritage chicken breeders? I would like to join the ALBC to promote conservation of these breeds. Any ideas or thoughts are more than welcome!
thank you!
