Our orpington Brown chick was attacked by a bobcat last night. Its miraculous that she lived- I don’t think I’ve ever prayed for a chicken but I did last night! Her breathing was so labored I thought her lungs were filling with blood- but this morning- aside from seeming pretty traumatized-she is doing fine- up walking around- The one thing I’m concerned about is the wounds in her neck. She has a bite mark that goes all the way through- there wasn’t much blood or anything- just deep puncture marks. Is there something I should do to prevent an infection? Thank you!

Diluted peroxide and any pictures? Glad to hear the chick is ok. I recently lost my chickens to a coyote. But we got some new ones. But pictures would be greatly appreciated.
