Do not shoot in city limits. You could go to jail. I would lock them in a secure house or a crate in the garage over night. Let the wildlife people handle it. They might be a protected species.

Oh and chicken wire won't keep anything out. It will only keep your ducks in. I have seen dogs chew right through it. It is expensive but you might have to beef up the cage.

we have chicken wire and hardware cloth in there..... but they refuse to actually go into the coop.. the prefer to be under it....which is also enclosed. see the pic below.

As others have said, I'd let the wildlife folks deal with it. I don't know of a city that allows firing a weapon within city limits. I would keep them in a more secure area until the bobcat is gone. They can break through even reinforced structures. I'd keep the ducks indoors or in the garage until it is once again safe.
