Wow! If that's not a bobcat then I'd wonder if there's something in the water and the neighbors cats are drinking it....that would certainly make me a bit paranoid about shutting the hens up at dusk.
That's still pretty cool to see, although that's easy for me to say from halfway across the country--thanks for sharing!

Sure looks like it, the only other thing it could be is a Lynx, but I can't see the ears clearly enough. Where is this?

yep, thats a bobcat for sure! heres ours.....he's pretty harmless now! lol

THAT'S a BOBCAT! Looks just like the one that would run up beside me in the day time a take a chicken. The bobcat got 15 total. Be careful they are not afraid of people if they know that you are around. The one we had would hide under our flatbed trailer and in the brush.

I'm in Atascadero, which is the Central Coast area of California. My neighbor saw a bobcat in her back yard a couple of years ago, quite close, so I'm guessing this one has been here all along and just hasn't shown himself.

I moved my game camera last night from just outside the chicken coop to a hundred yards or so away on my neighbor's property near some open area, where there is a sizable ground squirrel population. These shots were taken at just before 4 a.m. and just a half hour later this showed up:

It is a busy area! My chickens are at the mercy of all this!

Beautiful cat. I got one in the backyard on the game cam, but it was night time and so far away from the camera.
