ok,heres a little advise i picked up a while back for trapping bobcats.set a live trap and bait it like you normaly would.now keep in mind bobcats, just like house cats,are visualy stimulated hunters.they depend more on sight for stalking prey than anyother sence when they can.so gather up some light colored feathers.hang a couple by a short string just long enough that they will twitch around in a breeze above the trap.then do the same with sevral feathers above the bait inside the trap and your good to go.
it usualy takes a couple of days,but this DOES work.ive seen it myself.

I deployed secret evil plan #12.

I put out a large live trap with chicken box attached.

I put my least favorite hen in the box and hopefully she is having the worst night of her life. Every morning when I drive over I hope to see a bobcat who's night has been ruined by a foot hold trap,snare or live trap. Sooner or later I will get it and then I'll run around spinning it over my head yelling ooga booga at any future Bobcats who trespass on the property
