bobwhite quail

I am new to raising bobwhite quail I have some now that are about 3 weeks old. When will the color on their heads change to tell what sex they are ? At what age can I vent sex them? Thanks !!

There should be a visual difference at eight weeks of age. Sexing by vent can only be done when the birds are in breeding condition.
