Bobwhite Update

Oh, and good luck raising bobs in the future. Maybe, If we both release bobs indifferent areas, the next generation will be able to enjoy them in the wild!

I imagine for releasing, you only release the wild coloured birds right? Would say the ones with some white on them also be releasable? I know for sure the pure white ones should not be released as it definitely wouldn’t survive with no camouflage.
 
Of course I'm not releasing the white ones. Only the wild colored ones. The white ones I'll keep for breeding and have my own stock of whites. Apparently they're good money, as they are very rare.

What's the best way of sexing the whites?
 
Anyone notice the legs on these guys are massive? Coturnix chicks have such dainty thin legs while these bobwhite legs seem to be growing faster than the bodies.

Also the biggest chick does this strange thing, if another chick gets too close, it crouches down and makes a few high pitched chirps. Not sure what that means...

I plan on keeping these two cute little penguins.
