Boiled Eggs...what am I doing wrong???

The real key is to just boil them for however long you want ot boil them for and then put them in cold water (really cold water) right away. Fresh eggs or eggs that have been around for weeks, it doesn't matter. No need for the salt or anything else. By immediatly putting them into very cold water it contracts the insides and they are so easy to peel then.

Bring your water to a boil. In the mean time, poke a small whole in the bottom of your eggs. Thumb tac size is perfect. When the water begins to boil drop in your eggs. You'll see bubbles. The water is going inbetween the shell and membrane. Boil and cool as usual. They come out perfectly even just laid eggs.

Learned this trick somewhere on these boards
