Boiling Green Eggs

I admit that I am not a very good cook. Still, I have noticed that my green eggs do not boil well. When I try to peel them, usually to make deviled eggs, they split in half the wrong way or else the white just breaks apart. My brown ones do fine. Is there a trick to it?
 
Add a ton of salt to your water. I've also heard baking soda but I've never tried it.
