Dorian looked at the girls, "its just a scratch, I am sure its nothing. Only problem with having claws is if you aren't careful you can hurt yourself." He tried to make it into a joke not wanting to worry either of them.

Nemra trilled happily and rested her head on Lara's hand and arm, happily going to sleep again.

Lara chuckled softly and sat down, letting Nemra sleep on her arm. How often did a human have a chance to have a dragon trust them enough to sleep on them? Plus, she was so cute. She looked back to Dorian at his words and nodded "That is true, humans do the same thing if they let their fingernails get too long or ragged. It's not a deep cut, but it hurts more because it's closer to the surface. More nerve endings get hit. That's why papercuts hurt so much." She said then shrugged lightly, trying not to move the arm that Nemra had

"We don't have to look at it, if you don't want us to" Donella said, nodding agreement then looking to the door again. "I hope nobody was hurt with whatever that was."

"If you two think it needs looking at I will allow it. Then if you want its probably safe to go check on the others, if it would make you feel better in case someone did get hurt." He said as he sat down next to Lara and reached over her to scratch his little dragon's head. He wondered if he should talk to Lara about perhaps becoming his bond? He had never considered it before but he had to admit he liked her, she was familiar and comfortable. Plus Nemra had pretty much already chosen for him. Although he wondered if it would be weird or strange for her, given she seemed to be a twin with her sister. He didn't want to come between them, then again they seemed close, he wasn't sure he could even if he had tried.

Donella looked to her sister then shrugged and got up, grabbing a napkin to go around and look at Dorian's ear gently. "We don't have to go, but it would be good to know no one was hurt or anything." She said as she gently dabbed at the scratch, clearing away the blood a little to be certain it wasn't anything that would need stitches. Thankfully it was just a cut, so it would heal right soon enough. Not like they could put a band aid on his fur to keep it covered.

"What?" River was confused by her words then she fit everything together "WHAT?!?!" she roared. The emotions from her past and now seemed to hit her like a wave the death of her joy, her joy had been shredded into oblivion, it had curled up like a sick puppy and died, anger, hatred, and most of all betrayal. "How could she?" she thought anger running through her "What am I to you? What am I a rodent at a lad? to be tested, poked? I could HAVE DIED from over smoke inhalation!!!" she thundered "And what do you mean 'it was working'?! what kind of stupid thing is this?!?!"

She tilted her head, "Your lungs seem to be working fine, and the smoke woult have dissipatet before you could suffer severe injury. You may have passet out, but," she drew her finger from the top right of her face down to the bottom left, "it looks like you've seen worse." She glanced over to Erin now, still holding her collar in a death grip. The same death grip that had just dragged her twenty feet. The same death grip that might have been her saving grace. But the blood was beginning to clot in her saving grace's teeth. "Ant hat I been in any real tanger, I would most tefinitely owe my lifeform to you."

Erin flinched, her snarl fading. The wild in her eyes turned to shock.

At once threw the roll of fabric back at the Siri and stomped out of the hall. Not toward the dorms. Not toward anybody. She needed time alone. Time to think.

Jaxson listened to her as she slid to the ground to sit. A planet filled with smog? Sounded terrible to him, no wonder she left. He slid to the ground next to her. "Well at least it doesn't happen often. And I agree, after I was picked up I wondered in my mind why one of you would need one of use. But I suppose it makes sense now. You know on my planet, on earth people who are blind train dogs to be their eyes for them." He told her wondering if they had some sort of alien equivalent. He was happy the alarm was off now, and the smoke seemed to be clearing from the hall up ahead. He hoped her head was feeling ok as he watched her hit the side of her head. He didn't know how inhaling smoke effected them or if it was similar to humans.
