"I was joking, the food on this ship is fine. Chickens don't have to eat sunflower seeds, we just like them." he laughed. "I'm surprised at all the human food, though. Many alien ships, even rescue ships, don't have much selection of human foods."Skyler laughed, figured he would be bummed about that. "Well I will tell you what, sometimes the stations that house lots of humans they import some of their foods. If you stay on board we can see if we can get you some sunflower seeds." She replied with a smile, she liked the little rooster. He had more guts and better manners then some people she had met human and alien.
Star shook her head as the sprinkler system kicked on. "Bleh." She said and glanced around for something to cover her head with. Erin, still pulling Linda but not quite paying attention, slid in a puddle. Star cringed. Ooh, faceplant!
When she picked herself up, blood was running from her nose. She spun around, grabbed Linda's collar, and yanked her upright. "Do you think this is a joke?" She screeched. Linda's eyes flew open. "I've had two crew members die today. Two! And you think you can just throw a smoke bomb and play dead in the hall?" She bared her teeth, and not in the friendly way, as blood poured over her mouth.
Star shuffled where she crouched with River, glad for the moment to be away from it all. Two dead? How had she missed this? "What happened?" She whispered to River.
River stood up slowly and stood to her full height of 6 feet and walked over to Linda. She now was fine to stand "Linda," her voice was like shards of ice, cold and fierce "Why. did. you. do. that?" she snarled
She couldn't tell if the hostility was malignant or benign, but the humans had the upper hand. Okay, okay you can do this. Humans are emotional creatures, so it will only be as bad as you make it. Tell the truth, maybe? She almost laughed out loud at that one. "I... wantet to see if it was working, and... it blew up in my face?" It was not supposed to come out as a question, but it did. Stupid English language. Just change the tone at the end and you're busted.

(Them's the jokes, dear. Sorry if I wasn't being specific, that's kinda my fault. It was just an example of terrible writing.)
She tilted her head, "Your lungs seem to be working fine, and the smoke woult have dissipatet before you could suffer severe injury. You may have passet out, but," she drew her finger from the top right of her face down to the bottom left, "it looks like you've seen worse." She glanced over to Erin now, still holding her collar in a death grip. The same death grip that had just dragged her twenty feet. The same death grip that might have been her saving grace. But the blood was beginning to clot in her saving grace's teeth. "Ant hat I been in any real tanger, I would most tefinitely owe my lifeform to you."
Erin flinched, her snarl fading. The wild in her eyes turned to shock.
At once threw the roll of fabric back at the Siri and stomped out of the hall. Not toward the dorms. Not toward anybody. She needed time alone. Time to think.
"I have half the mind to pound some since into you, idiot!" River snarled and she did feel like slapping her but she had a feeling of needing to help the net-wet and she hated it, she had that same feeling for Seeker. "I could have died, if Star wouldn`t have gotten me out of there I would have died! I can`t believe I went to try and help the likes of you! Of all the mangy things! You set off a smoke bomb what was your goal in that?! Or did you just want to toy with us?! Did you even think of what it could do?! Or did you not care?!?"

Lily walked forward and stood by Seeker glaring at Linda

Worf had listened to River silently to know what had happened. Finally he stepped out of the shadows "Linda, you of all the crew, I did not think would set off a smoke bomb on the ship! half of this ship is terrified!" he snarled coldly but let River go on

"What were you thinking?!?!" River snapped at Linda

She got up, getting her face well out of River's reach, brushed herself off and straightened her shirt. Humans could be so emotional. "I sait it was an accitent." She shrugged.
Crow, still in crow form, watched the action from behind a pipe. He fidgeted nervously when Worf walked in, if Worf saw him sneaking around like this he might suspect him of encouraging Linda to set off the smoke bomb. Linda shouldn't have done that. Does she really think those humans are so dumb that they wouldn't spot a smoke bomb? I mean, seriously. Crow thought to himself, all the while anxiously watching Worf.River walked closer to her but wanted to hear what Worf would say so let him talk again

Worf grabbed the smoke bomb and walked over to her waving it in her face "This? You say THIS is a ACCIDENT?!?! I as First Officer of this ship order you to tell the truth! I order you to tell me and," he glanced at River "The truth!"
