Bonus chick with broilers. What breed?

Definitely a Silver Laced Wyandotte, but it's too young to sex yet with any degree of accuracy. I would suggest posting it again in about 3 weeks.

X2, looks feminine to me but I agree it's still too young to tell for sure. My SLW cockerels were already turning red and growing their waddles around 10 weeks, so shouldn't be too much longer.

In my opinion, "no," but some hatcheries market them as a rare breed.

I wouldn't place them in the category of rare either. Nice breed to have, yes; rare, not so much. I wanted mine to be hens but they both turned out cockerels. I think they're beautiful myself.
