That IS a WOW! Looks like it is in really decent shape too. I have a few old poultry books( no where near as old as your great find), and they really were interesting reading! Definate treasure you have!

Lucky you! What a great find on that vintage book! I'd have been all over that one myself! Sad that the book store is closing it's doors. Sounds like it was a little gem of a place!

Yes, it is very depressing to lose this store.

And the people who worked there were amazing. My kids loved to shop there for gifts for me....something they have trouble doing since I live alone with them. The kids would instruct me to stay out. I could just send them in, they would help them pick out things they could afford and then pack it up nice and secure so I couldn't see and send them back out to me. Not a lot of stores like that anymore.

That is a way cool find! I'm thinking that $1.00 was an expensive price for a book back then, so whomever bought it originally probably took great care of it to begin with.

Heck they might have even loved chickens more than you Christy!
