Well, well, well, Mr Buzzard messed up today. (This is the European buzzard buteo buteo, by the way). The Limousine ladies were head down in a pile of freshly-swept leaves when he arrived. But what he took to be a quick 'n' easy take-away wasn't to be. Watching over his girls from the comfort of the goose house was Roozilla, a Barred Rock + Copper Black Maran cross - possibly on a par size-wise with a Jersey Giant. I think he was out of the goose house almost before the buzzard had landed. Seconds later he was joined by roos Admiral, a Buff Brahma, and Quagmire, a Barred Rock and probably Roozilla's dad. Feathers flew as did a shocked buzzard; the boys were completely unharmed and yelled about it for a good ten minutes. About time things went our way...
