Mine was too until I got these Boston mixes. Now he loves his little dogs.

:hugs Mine is a turd about smaller dogs. I wanna :smack him.
We fostered a Shi-tzu years ago. He was a fun bouncy perpetually happy guy but both hubs and my son hated him. :(

I think he knew they didn't like him. He took to growling at both of them. :hmm

It takes the right dog I think. Mine didn't get attach to my rat terrier. The pushed in faces got my husband. Especially since Tilly the bulldog Boston will smile at him.

IF I ever get another dog....and that is a gigantic IF I will go for a mid sized dog.
That little Shi-tzu was in really bad shape when he came here. He still had nothing but love in his whole being. He loved everyone and everything.
They weren't very nice to him, always pushing him away and scolding him. It was very sad that they were like that to him.
Yeah....I don't think I could bring in another little dog.

I have thought of another lap dog not just now maybe in a year have not given allot thought to what not certain poodle would be a standard ? not lap sized ?, maybe shih tzu ? but have to trim or comb allot

Those are all nice breeds. :)

At first the grooming on the poodles put me off but then I realized.... long coated/fluffy dogs need tons of brushing anyway so to me, just shaving the dog down every month or two is a lot less work than weekly or daily brushing haha

Of course most dogs don’t really need that much brushing and will be fine with much less but I’m a bit OCD and like brushing more often/getting as much undercoat as I possibly can out, just like I like keeping nails as short as possible, and when I can’t it would probably annoy me cause the fur is never ending so I think having a dog I could just shave down and actually see the results/progress would be much better for the OCD and feeling like I’ve actually accomplished something instead of just swimming against the current in terms of fur and shedding. :lau

Sorry for the tangent lol

Anyway, for most sane people, poodles are probably a lot of work but for me they’re really seeming like a good option. :lau

I love the idea of non shedding dogs haha

And I know I’m really late but I think e other dog definitely has at least part wolf. :)

Though a lot of those traits aren’t wolf specific and many regular dogs have them too but she does look wolf like and seems she acts like it too so I’m sure she has at least some wolf. :)
