Bored with the same ol' supper

Thanks for all the great ideas everyone!

am trying more Asian and east Indian recipes and ingredients. Seasonings are really different, fun and delicious.

Usually I just pick a region of the world and go with that. A couple of years ago I went Russian/Ukranian. Fun, but heavy meals for the winters. I am also into Scottish right now, trying to learn more.

lOVE THIS IDEA!

Thank-you again for all your ideas! Everyone, there all great! Loved reading everyones replies!

I watch Food network and get some ideas there.

Admitly it is really hard to come up with different meals to make. Husband cannot eat eggs, mayo, and sour cream. Son hates spaghetti. daughter will eat just about anything.

Just got a cookbook and I go through that alot.

One dish I have been meaning to make is Shepards Pie.

I never make the same things all the time. I come up with a lot of my own recipes to keep things interesting.

A few meals we've had lately: sausage with tortellini, braised pork chops with sour cream, salads with shredded chicken and boiled eggs, bacon-wrapped steaks, and pasta with beef bolognese sauce.

I've made myself a list of One-Dish Meals for easy cooking when I don't feel like cooking. Here are a few examples:

~ cheddar bratwurst cut into chunks in heated skillet, add chopped sweet onion cut into large chunks, then 4-5 Yukon gold or red potatoes into large chunks, leave skin on, then cut cup a peeled carrot or two. Next, cut up a green pepper in large chunks and a yellow squash or zucchini. Add season salt and let cook all together till veggies are done

~ One Pot Pasta – 1 TB EVOO, 1 # ground beef or sausage, chopped onion and garlic > brown together; add 1 cup each water, pasta sauce, small pasta > cover, bring to a boil, simmer 20 minutes; top with mushrooms, thin strips bell pepper >cover and cook 5 minutes; stir in 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese >cover let sit; top with grated parmesan cheese - I use my Le Creuset French oven

~Zatarain’s black beans and rice package with one pound of sliced kielbasa sausage, prepared in a pressure cooker per your cooker directions.
