Boredom Busters for winter time?

Logs, Deep bedding with scratch thrown around in it. Suet cages with veggies, soda bottle with small holes in it with scratch. Dust baths, perches, cabbage on a string, pumpkins, swinging perches, dried mealworms spread in deep bedding, cardboard placed down for a few days and then turn it over and unleash the chaos.... repeat as needed.

In March (around St Patty's Day), our local Aldi's has cabbages on sale for $0.75 or so. I buy $20 worth and hang one a day in the run from the ceiling so it is 6 inches off the ground. They love it and since it won't hold still while they peck at it, it lasts all day.

KrisCVT, you have indoor chickens as well as outdoor ones? Indoors like inside the house? Would like to hear more about this!

Mine won't eat cabbage or lettuce, not sure why. They loved the leaves from the broccoli I grew last summer, they liked the inside of cucumbers too.
