My Marans mixes were born 1 day apart and one has a tail and the other still is just a little stubby

Still cute. Daddy is Cuckoo Marans and momma is a game hen. They were given to me from the guy I bought my "teenager" chicks from. He actually took the mostly black one "Tina" out of the incubator and handed her to me

Hate to say it but pullets get their tails straight away while roos remain with fluffy baby butts for a lot longer. Think you may have a pullet and a roo.
