C'mon oldies ,....Post. I'm still the oldest so far.

Someone post pre-57 so I feel better. I was a cabinet maker for over 20 years, & a ranch hand for the last 12. I have a bad back, gimpy foot, bad rotator cup in my shoulder, & hurt every day,..... But I can still ride a horse all day, & put up fence like a speed-rabbit. I'm old, but not dead yet!

1971...and I can relate to it all! Those were the days. My kids dont have the imagination we did! They dont have to its all done for them!

1974 here.......very fond memories of how "untouchable" we were!! Sneaking down to the creek on the way to school to catch clams and worms for fishing. Catstar68 sure nailed it right on the head with hooking yourself with a hook--a common tool in my grandpa's tackle box were pliers for that very same reason.........and you sure learn quick about not wanting that to happen again!!

I remember riding around the block for hours-literally-there was NOTHING on tv during the day. In fact, I don't think that my mom ever had the tv on during the day. No, I rode that bike because it was FUN

Also going to my grandma and grandpa's and running through the pasture barefoot stepping in goose poo repeatedly along the way!

and washing my feet in the pond. Yep, the feet are still here and I can't keep a pair of shoes on my feet for a solid day to save my life

What was bad was when my best friend (who lived across the street) would get grounded to his yard, and I'd get grounded to mine

Well heck, then we'd just play catch back and forth across the street!!

Excellent memories!!!
