WOW!! Beautiful pups!! That dad is soooo handsome!! Mom is just gorgeous!! I have
hopefully
puppies on the way, due around September 1st. We are Boston FANATICS!!! I love them soooo much! I reccomend them to everyone I know! Arent they just the best? Low maintenence, great energy (or not since they like to just chill!) hardly any barking unless really needed, easy to potty train, learn tricks SUPER fast- our momma Boston rides a skateboard, she started doing it all on her own!! All 3 of mine LOVE to play fetch, and they are just perfect for families with children!!
I am sooo jealous!! I cant wait to see our puppies!! Yours are so perfect!!
I'm glad Bostons usually have small liters of 2 to 4 because I plan to keep 1 or 2 and already have homes with family for any extras. I may spay and neuter after this liter though (I have a strict spay and neuter policy with my family that they all agree to, so we dont make more than we have homes for.)
It depends on the dog and the line, so have more than others, but 8 is a huge litter for bostons. Average would be 3-4. Not sure what you mean by normal size, as the weight standard ranges for 10-25 pounds, which is a huge difference. My female, Pebbles is only about 10 pounds, so on the smallest end of the weight range, while my male, Astro is 18-19 pounds. Pebbles parents were both smaller, 10-12 pounds, Astro's parents were 12 & 19, so it will be interesting to see how the pups turn out.
Thanks everyone, we are very happy with the litter. We are not sure if we are keeping one or not yet. We shouldn't as we certainly have enough dogs, but you know how hard it is to resist those gorgeous little puppies?! Astro was bought as a show prospect, both of his parents are Champions and his father also has his CD title. Unfortunately life circumstances got in the way, so we have only shown him a few times. Someday when this economy turns around, I want to get back into showing, like I used to years ago. Pebbles was bought as a present from my husband to me. She was not from a show breeder, but is still pretty cute and I really wanted a brindle, so I was happy about that.
Isn't it funny how you can tell even when they are puppies what breed they are?
They are just too cute. The dad is downright handsome. Bostons just have a funny charm to them don't they? I really love the Brindle coloring on Bostons.
Congrats on your babies
