Bot fly eggs on horse?

I went into the pasture today and both my horse and my donkey have small whitish yellowish specks around their legs, and the donkey has some on her head. I looked closer and tried to remove them and I could easily brush them off with my hand. I think they might not be botfly eggs because they came off so easily, and I’ve heard that they’re hard to remove but I’ve never dealt with botflies before so I don’t know what these things are. They seem to lay on top of the hair instead of attach to it. I’m pretty sure they’re either seeds or botfly eggs but I don’t know which they are. I know this is a really specific issue but I’ve seen a lot of posts about horses so maybe someone knows.

I didn’t have my phone on me but I’ll try if they’re back tomorrow. Thank you for the link, they look kind of like the picture in the article but more spaced out and larger and they also aren’t attached to the hair like that. Do different kinds of bot flies lay different eggs?

@oldhenlikesdogs
They are on a field so it could be pollen.

I haven't finished reading the article yet but I think there are three different type of botfly mentioned in it.

I went through it and it says in the article that bot eggs are firmly affixed to the hair and doesn’t mention different bot flies having different eggs. I think they probably aren’t but eggs but I will still take and post a picture tomorrow just to get a second opinion.

Sorry...I must have been thinking of this:
