Bought a Cheap Incubator

I came across a cheap brooder on wamart.ca and thought I'd give it a try. It only holds 5-7 chicken eggs but for quail I think it would be perfect as I don't want a whole herd of fuzzy misfits, LOL. We'll see how it works out. I also plan on trying locally bred quail eggs and see if the store bought ones are fertile.

SO MUCH EXCITEMENT right now!

Thanks! It'll be my first time using an actual incubator. I'm pretty stoked that I might have fuzzy babies one day .

My incubator arrived today! It's pretty small - only holds 7 chicken eggs, but I don't plan on incubating many quail. Pretty excited to try it out. Gonna have to wait for the conures to hatch out, then me to hand feed the babies.

Looks like a step up from this, this kind is the worst, besides the yellow top Chinese incubators.

I am having pretty good luck with the foam incubators I bought 2 one with fan and turner and one that is still air no turner. I incubate in the one with the fan/turner, and hatch in the still air.
The still air foam incubator I got off of ebay for about 65 dollars.
the fan/turner foam incubator I got for about 109 from North 40.

Cool! This one was only $40. I wasn't expecting much from it, but if it works and even hatches out a few eggs, I'll be happy. I figure I can always upgrade at a later date.

It’s funny, I actually bought a very similar looking thing from an Asian grocery, but it hardboils eggs! Identical tray, metal heat tray below it, identical little crest on top to lift the lid lol. No vent holes tho.
