I'm so glad to hear he's doing better, but I would NOT take him off of the duramycin until it's run its 14 day course. Very important. Even if the symptoms disappear, and particularly because they have, keep on the antibiotics until they're done in time, not symptoms.

You sure don't want it to come back and then not be treatable with this drug.

Yeah, once you stop the Duramycin (but give the full course, even if he looks better,) then start the probiotics.

Ok Thanks guys. That was something I was going to ask. Whether or not the stop at day 3 and start probiotics or continue giving the anitbiotics.

See, the three day mark is where you should see improvement. SO many people stop then, and that's where problems start. So you'll be smarter than that and keep going til 7 days. Then yes - lots of probiotics, remember no yogurt before.
