Bourbon hen or tom? Help please

I purchased 2 Bourbons in July. One got a cold and I could not safe him. I am thinking it was the male that passed away as I bought a male and female.

But here is "she" does this look like a hen?

Yeah I would say she is a hen, the smaller snood and line of feathers up the back of the neck and head are a dead giveaway. She's a pretty one though.

How old is it? It does look like a hen to me, but looking closer I think I'm seeing black edges on the feathers which would indicate male. Look at the breast feathers, do they have light edges or dark?
