Bourbon Red losing tail feathers

Hello

We have a Bourbon Red tom who is losing his tail feathers. He molted earlier this year. Could this be heat related, as it has been quite warm here. It just seems to be tail feathers.

Mine are starting to molt, my toms are losing their tail feathers currently too. So I would guess it's the fall molt, especially if it's older than a year.
