Bourbon Red Turkeys

I bought six bourbon red eggs for a silkie bantam, she couldn't cover all six so I put 3 in an incubator and left her with three. As the ones in the incubator hatched I put them under her. All six hatched and she reared all six. Even when they were much bigger than her she was trying to get her wings over them to look after them. So they were taught to forage and she kept all the other poultry off them while they were growing up. Cant beat a Silkie for rearing chicks.
