bourbon red turkeys

Hi I just bought a breeding pair of bourbon reds and every where I look people say feed them 28% feed .do u really have to feed them that much protein.

Turkeys need between 24% and 28% protein feed. Their need for protein is very high.

Yes turkeys are a fast growing birds and that is the protein level needed even after reaching adulthood as their size demands it, that is if you want a healthy Turkey

I'm looking for a couple of bourbon red breeding hens to put with my tom and one hen I already got I live in southern part of Ohio I would like to have 2 more hens
