bout how much does one sell a dozen farm fresh eggs?

I'm in N.E. Oklahoma.....what's the going rate here, anyone know? My eggs are not large but not small either. I'm getting enough now to sell. Thanks in advance!!

400

Saw this today at a store in Riverside, CA.

I charge $6.00 a dozen at the farmers market. If you come to my house its $4.00. Other vendors get $7.00. I live in central Texas.

I get $5 for 18 eggs...and to my friends it is $4 per 18... but I do clean them and have carton... in North Dakota...jeff

Here is Southern New Hampshire, they are $4/dozen at our local Farmer's Market or Food Co-ops, so we sell to our neighbors for $3/dozen. When we have more than our neighbors want, we just give them away.

We definitely lose money, happily :) Our girls are pets who produce far too many eggs for my husband to eat for breakfast.

I have 9 laying hens at the moment and I sell eggs by the dozen and a half cartons for $5. $4.00 for a dozen. I can't keep enough built up to supply the demand at work. When my 5 pullets start laying, it should help. People donate egg cartons to me all the time, and then buy the eggs back from me. The cartons are returned, so that's an expense that's cut a bit. Good luck! Word of mouth is also a great advertiser. I usually give a new customer the first dozen for free, then let them buy after that.
