Ok, so my 3 year old opened the chick pen and a visiting Lab ran in and grabbed my FAVORITE silver laced cochin chick, about 2 months old. While my little chick was in her mouth she chased 2 other chicks. I screamed bloody murder and she dropped the chick and cowered in the yard. I picked up my chick, and got other 2 into the pen. All seemed ok and I held the cochin and looked her over while chatting with my neighbor. Well, next thing I know, my 2 month old Sultan mix roo is getting it on with the cochin's sister. Seriously???!!!! At 2 months old???? I guess all the activity was a turn on for him.
BTW, the chick and her sister are inside in a brooder. So far, so good.
