Box full of busy fluffy FUN!!! 4-4-12 Updated Photos!!!

We went to the McMurray Hatchery this morning and picked up our order of Barred Rocks, white Silkies, some Blue Laced Red Wyandottes and our free rare chick. The BLRW are for someone else.

We received 3 or 4 extra Barred Rocks, an extra Silkie (we only purchased 3, but got 4) and the free rare chick. All of them are extremely active and running around the brooder. Some of them have even been flapping their wings as if trying to take off. Oh what fun!!!

How soon will we be able to have all of you knowledgeable people help us identify the "rare exotic" chick? What do you need photos of in order to be able to sex him/her and identify what kind it is?

They are so cute!!!! I've got 18 chicken eggs and 9 duck eggs in my incubator right now. 8 days left!!

We ordered 50 Barred Rocks and received 3 or 4 extra.

We ordered 3 White Silkies and received 4.

Then we also ordered 5 BLRW chicks for someone else (they didn't want or should I say, need the 25 minimum order from McMurray).

And we also received the free "rare exotic" chick. Don't have any idea what he/she will be when it grows up.

That adds up to - more than we were initially thinking - I know, I know, Chicken Math got us!!!
