Boxer and his chicks!

My 11 month old Boxer puppy inspecting his new feathered sisters. He is always supervised when around the chicks and there is usually a wire grill over the hutch to protect the girls. We have 2 Easter Eggers, 2 Buff Orpington, 2 Silver lace Wyandottes, 2 Gold lace Wyandottes, and 2 Blue Andalusians. The girls are about a week old.

My current boxer has a high prey drive. It was a tough time with her for many years. Hopefully yours behaves himself. I wouldn't encourage him "looking or guarding" He's still a pup, and a good looking one.

I LOVE boxers!! When I was little, my aunt had one named Dudley, who used to herd all the chicks and ducklings on the farm. It would worry him to no end to have his babies all rounded up and they used to hop up on him and take a nap. He used to herd me too!! If I would start toddling towards the road, he would get between me and the road and lean on me until I turned back. I loved him for years!!
