Boy or a girl?

I am thinking this girl is a boy, but I was told they are all sexed and should be girls. What do you think?

It appears to be a cockerel as I think I see pointed saddle feathers. A free standing profile picture would help in gender ID. How old is the bird ?

That is a cockerel for sure! The tail is starting to curve down and his hackles are pointy.

I think male. I'm surprised it's wattles are bigger. If you got them from a hatchery or feed store that gets them from a hatchery, even though they say they are pullets, the guarantee is around 90% so it's not unlikely you could get a male. I was sold some chicks once that I was told were Brown Leghorns. They turned out to be Partridge Rocks. They started laying brown eggs. As chicks they do look very similar. I did sell them because I didn't want to start raising another breed.
