Hi we have had our 3 “girls” for couple months now, and last few days one of them has started crowing around 6am in the morning. I thought only boys crow. Could anyone tell me if she a girl or in fact a boy...she has a large comb and big woddle... . I think boy

Our other bantam is polish, and early on she was the dominant one, but recently she seems to have taken a back seat and this one now seems to be dominant, is this because it’s a boy? Would that make sense

We thought “she” might be, how can you tell, is it the signs I mentioned? Will he still be ok with our other 2 girls, one pictured behind him?
Do you have other chickens? He may be too much on only 2 hens.

You can see he's developing hackle and saddle feathers. They are thinner and more pointy, and are usually darker and shiny.

We have what we thought was 3 girls, 2 peking and 1 polish... they all seem to get on fine and there doesn’t appear to be or have been any fighting between them

We had one roo and two hens for a few years, they got on fine together. I guess it depends on the dynamic of the flock.
