i have the same issue with my 3 buff orpingtons 2 look alike and one is a darker color and already has a comb and waddles..but it is so gentle, loves to be held and sit in my lap..this picture is them at 12 weeksView attachment 1723108

The one is definitely a rooster. I suggest you stop cuddling him or you could have problems with him being aggressive later on when he matures more.

OH MY.... i have 16 hens and 1 rooster?????? i have only been doing chickens for 1 yr now..have no idea how to take care of a rooster or what to do with him......i am not interested in incubating eggs......

dont know what to do with a rooster...already have 16 hens guess he got mixed up in that batch of orpingtons i got from the feed store.....not interested in fertilized eggs......will he be okay in my flock

So long as you're legally allowed to have a rooster, he should be fine... So long as you stop treating him like a pet. Once his teenage hormones kick in, he'll get aggressive. Especially I've observed, if he was human raised rather than chicken raised. If you plan on keeping him, I'd suggest doing some research into raising cockerels. Otherwise, post him up on the buy/sell portion of the forum, and/or craigs list.
