Boy or Girl??

Hi everyone! Here Rosie is at 11 weeks old. She is feathering out beautifully. However, her comb and wattles have really gotten pink. I'm starting to worry again. She's still showing no signs of crowing and her behavior hasn't changed.

I wanted to, again, thank you all for being so responsive and positive towards little worried me!

Anyone else have an idea about whether Rosie is a pullet or cockerel?

Also, her saddle feathers are not very pointy but are very long and flap around her tail. Does this mean anything? I'm so worried!!

Hmm, a beautiful speckled Sussex. I had a SS rooster before. I can look back at pics later when he was 11 weeks.

Although your Rosie does look rooster ish.

Mine looks a lot like yours. She has a lot of white around her face, too. I wonder if they came from the same place. Here is a pic of her at 10 1/2 weeks. I'm 99% sure she is a pullet. She was very slow to feather out though, and has always been smaller that the others. Our RIR is the same age but twice as big.

They do look alike. However, Rosie was fast to feather out. I'm not trying to put pressure on you but could you post a pic of her comb/wattle and saddle feathers?

She's really hard to get a picture of. She never holds still and run as soon as you get close enought to snap a photo. LOL

Here are a couple more photos of my pullet. Probably not any better than the previous ones. She is getting more friends and will let you pick her up as long as she isn't being "chased". She's almost 11 weeks old.

So mine has about the same size comb and wattles. The thing that is concerning me that I don't see on your's is long, floppy saddle feathers. Oh I'm JUST SO WORRIED!!!Is your's super silkie feeling? What's her personality?

Mine is very soft, probably softer than any of the other pullets. Her personality is pretty mellow and laid back, but she is not trusting. She runs all the time for no reason if she thinks she perceives "danger". She will also wander off by herself and leave the rest of the flock. She's usually the last one to come in to eat or roost. She's pretty aloof.
