How old is Chirpy again? These are great shots, but any chance you could also take a picture showing the whole bird from the side and showing the saddle feathers/tail?

Sure looks like a pullet to me - by that age there should be obvious saddle/hackle feathers and, basically, a sign around the neck saying, "I AM A ROOSTER"

Thanks! I will continue to wait and see. He/she has become pretty bossy in the last week or two...even went after my dog. And then there is the crowing? I will hold out though. Thanks so much for your input!

I think Chirpy is a pullet and she is going to start laying very soon. My pullets got very hormonal right before they started laying.

Sometimes even dominant hens crow. She's a pullet.
