Boys or girls (also, RIRs or PRs)?

2 collages attached. Flo (the lighter one in first collage) and Charlene (the darker one in 2nd collage) are 5.5 weeks old. Both sexed female at hatch. I've always suspected Charlene was male (look at the legs on her!), though strangely it's now Flo who has the redder comb and wattle.

Thoughts about both/either?

Also, is Charlene and RIR and Flo a Production Red? They were supposed to both be RIRs.

Both look to be cockerels, though the second one is not very developed yet. They also both look to be Production Reds

Ugh. Just curious - what is it about Flo that says cockerel? Just the comb/wattles?

Mostly. Its very rare for pullets to have that much growth and color development in them at this age. Also, the thickness of the legs is also a hint, though not always.

At that age a pullets comb and waddle would not have grown or turned red at all. My avatar is a Red cockerel.
