boys or girls??

I am new to chickens, I'll start right there. But I am totally in love with my flock.
That being said, I was given day old chicks in May, and they are "Mutts" I have been told.
I just wanted pets that make breakfast, lol, so breed didnt matter at the time.
Now they are 4 months old and some are making it clear they are Roosters, while others are keeping it a secret so I dont re home them.
Do Hens crow? How do you know for sure other than crowing? Do hens get combs and waddles?
I think I am left with 6 hens and 4 roosters by my guess....too many roosters but I have gotten attached, so I guess its another coop/run for the boys.
Any information for this newbie is much appreciated. Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi and welcome to the BYC flock!!! Yes hens will sometimes try to crow, yes hens have Combs and waddles but later than cockerels. If you want to post some pictures of the ones in question I'm sure we can all try and help you figure out who is what.

Hens will Crow, 16 week pullets almost assuredly will not.
Pullets do get combs and wattles but usually smaller, paler, and way later than their cockerel counterparts.
