I have these two chicks that hatched 7 weeks ago!! They are super cute and I think they are both half silkies their mom is a RIR any ideas in genders. The black one looks like the dad which is a blue silkie the other one looks like a mom’s any ideas? Not sure about the tan one if it is my other roosters either he is a speckled Sussex but the chick has feathers on its feet so I’m thinking silkie.

If they both have the silkie as the father, then the black one is likely female and the brown one is likely male (based on skin color sex linked genetics with fibromelanistic father).

I’ve had a black chick from him before like that and she is a she and the brown one is acting maybe like a he and the comb is already turning a little red
