Lol sorry I had to post so many pics..but they all dont free range together, so I cant get one full flock pic

Wait, I found the perfect pic of one of my Silkies and her newly hatched silver spangled hamburg chick!

I only have one Silkie, and she's young, hasn't laid her first egg yet, but I am so hoping that she will brood someday! she was raised by my all star champ Broody Mama... so she knows mothering. she's still very close to her Mama. she's 7.5 months old

... and there are more roosters here than that first pic... but those boys do all live together, range together... still not easy to get them all in one shot, to be able to sort of see them all and no one has a blurry head...love my boys! still 3 more not pictured here yet

Silkies are great moms! I got 2 just for their broodiness!
