I thought Dark Brahma males were black with white on the tail eventually? Like I said I am NO expert, just what I googled when I first got my birds and was unsure they were even Brahmas, lol.

That's true, but first set of feathers are always wonky. He's missing the pencilling that females get and females would never get any black on the breast

Gotcha, still super new to all this We'll keep him regardless since he's our only brahma! Too pretty to let go!

He will be gorgeous!! He has leakage too which will lead to a cool look!

It's an easy thing to get confused! Cockerels also do get the pencilled wings at first too which throws a lot of people off. The breast feathers are the big time indicators!
