Hi Everyone, great to be on BYC site !!! Being the impatient person that I am 🤣🤣 my 8 week old Isabella Brahma chicks are confusing me !! Within 3 days of hatch one of the chicks sprouted tail feathers, I named her Bunty as I think I'm right in thinking she's a girl (she feathered up much quicker than the others) Another chick is very obviously a boy, Hercules. His comb is bright red, he's big (!!) and (in no way aggressive) is showing boy characteristics. The other 4 chicks are a mystery. They feathered up slowly (compared to Bunty) so I thought all male but they have pale combs ? Bunty's tail feathers are different to Hercules but the other 4 haven't got much tail feather plumage really. They are all very friendly and very beautiful. I know 8 weeks is still very young as Brahmas take an age to mature but I was just interested in peoples thoughts 🐔🐔🐔

Not the greatest photos as want to keep them calm as introducing them to the rest of the flock (only in the crate for this reason) but here they are. The first 2 photos are of Hercules, the third photo is Bunty and then the mystery 4 🤣🤣
