Brahma color question

I have a keen eye for genetics.

OK, I posted this in other thread but just in case here as well. I was given Brahma or Brahma mix eggs and out of 10, 1 was fertile and hatched yesterday. What do you think is it?

Looks like a Dark. Compare it to the Cackle Hatchery chicks 2 posts above.

OK, I posted this in other thread but just in case here as well. I was given Brahma or Brahma mix eggs and out of 10, 1 was fertile and hatched yesterday. What do you think is it?

Your chick has a beard. It's not a brahma.

I'm not convinced that is actually a beard. I think it may just appear that way in the photos.

I looked the Dark Brahma video and mine is a lot brighter. Colours may change though,right? I looked again for beard and I am posting some pictures as I do not have any other chicken and I have no way of comparing. She is fluffy under her eyes, but not sure if this is the standard fluffiness or extra beard?? What comb do Brahmas have?

They have a pea comb.
Your chick has muffs... that's the puffs under the eyes. Its not a full brahma, but I suspect that it could be a brahma cross. Possibly with EE.
